Energy-efficient semantic communication method for sending images in the form of text

The present invention concerns the application of semantic communications in image transmission. Specifically, the proposed method involves using images as input to the semantic encoder, which is responsible for recognizing and understanding information from the input data. This information is represented by a smaller number of data compared to the original image, as non-essential data have been removed, leaving only the necessary data in a compact form. Finally, the information is transmitted through the physical channel to its destination, where it is decoded based on the communication’s requirements and purpose.
